Your role as a Supported Employment Supervisor
As a Full-Time Supported Employment Supervisor at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler you will play a pivotal role in providing day-to-day coordination and supervision of staff within the Employment Training Program. Utilizing team-based concepts you will ensure the effective implementation of program plans while mentoring Employment Specialists and assisting with caseload management. Your responsibilities will include identifying staff training needs and collaborating with the Vocational Manager for team development.
You will oversee the completion of regulatory documents and manage job development initiatives to assist individuals in finding meaningful employment opportunities. Additionally you will facilitate monthly staff meetings aimed at fostering communication training and problem-solving within the team. When necessary you will provide coverage for Employment Specialists and may support ACCES-VR participants.
Your efforts will contribute to a customer-centric environment that prioritizes excellence and integrity.

To excel as a Full-Time Supported Employment Supervisor at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler candidates must possess a associates degree in human services or a related field along with a minimum of four years experience in vocational programs working with people with disabilities. At least 1-2 years supervisory experience is preferred as strong leadership skills are essential for effectively managing staff and promoting team development. Proficiency in using software tools related to program management will be crucial for tracking individual progress overseeing regulatory documents and generating reports. A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are also required to facilitate community engagements and client job placements.
Successful candidates will demonstrate problem-solving abilities strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach contributing to a supportive environment that empowers individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals.
