Casualty Claims Specialist
Job Summary
A well-established insurance organization is seeking a skilled Casualty Claims Specialist to join their team. This position is responsible for managing a moderate to complex caseload including investigating evaluating drafting coverage position letters negotiating and settling losses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general and professional liability claims handling and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage investigate evaluate negotiate and adjust assigned claims in accordance with company guidelines and authority levels.
- Ensure adequacy of reserves and recommend reserve adjustments as needed.
- Draft coverage position letters and other necessary correspondence.
- Monitor the work of outside investigators and perform field investigations as assigned.
- Maintain detailed and accurate claim documentation in the agency management software.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 23 years of experience handling general liability and professional liability claims.
- Strong knowledge of coverage analysis liability assessment and complex claims handling procedures.
- Ability to manage complex cases efficiently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
Compensation Package
- $65000 $75000 annual base salary (based on experience)
