The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer 1 to join our team at Abbotts Diabetes Care site in this role you will support the monitoring and compliance of our Quality Management System (QMS) through the review approval and impact assessment of changes to documentation processes and systems. You will also play a key role in ensuring quality and compliance decisions are made throughout product development validation manufacturing and testing.
Responsibilities
Review and approve changes to documentation processes and systems ensuring compliance with QMS standards.
Support quality and compliance decisions during development validation processing manufacturing testing and packaging.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of training records and adherence to quality standards.
Train team members on procedures processes and QMS requirements.
Project manage cross-functional activities to agreed timelines using risk management tools to prioritize tasks.
Maintain strong relationships with R&D Technical Engineering Operations and Regulatory Affairs to achieve project goals.
Support audits cross-functional meetings and continuous improvement initiatives for the QMS.
Promote health and safety within the working environment and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure all communication and behaviors align with the Abbott Code of Conduct.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in a scientific engineering or technical discipline
Prior experience in the development and/or manufacture of regulated products is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
