Environmental Health and Safety Assistant to support manufacturing. This position will be located at our CGD location. Primary function of the EHSS Process Tech is to support the role of the EHSS Manager and/or Specialist to facilitate the operation of the manufacturing plant with world class safety performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Consolidate and develop training material while maintaining all training documents and files.

Audit and modify safety/environmental processes and procedures.

Participate in safety related projects as needed and identified based on plant wide safety priorities or departmental needs.

Coordinate and support activities with the operations teams to identify and complete safety and improvement action items.

Complete environmental safety and health related inspections and evaluations.

Conduct environmental safety and health related trainings as needed.

Assist in ergonomic issues and assessments

Assist in driving root cause for all safety incidents.

Help drive VIP savings throughout the facility.

Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Position requires a self-motivated individual who can perform multiple tasks.

Strong computer skills.

Good record keeping and organization skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Record of high performance and proven strength in behaviors consistent with the Polaris Values personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

PRISM experience preferred.

High school diploma or GED required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to work day hours on a regular basis with overtime and weekend work as necessary.

70% of workday will be in the area of the production floor.

Base Pay Range:

$23.89 - $28.60
