Position Description: Production Supervisor- Finishing/ Industrial Paint line Operations

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented 1st Shift Production Supervisor to lead our Finishing Department which includes all finishing processes and paint line operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities ensuring safety quality and efficiency standards are met and driving continuous improvement across the department.

Primary Duties:

• Lead and supervise the 1st shift team in finishing and paint line operations to meet daily production goals.
• Manage staffing training and development of team members; foster a culture of accountability safety and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols quality standards and production procedures.
• Monitor workflow identify and resolve bottlenecks and coordinate with maintenance to address equipment issues.
• Review production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations manage attendance and participate in hiring and disciplinary processes in partnership with HR.
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and OSHA standards.
• Ensure all products meet customer specifications and internal quality benchmarks.
• Provide timely and accurate production reports to leadership to support operational decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Fabrication Engineering Quality and Shipping to ensure seamless operations.

Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience in finishing operations industrial painting or manufacturing supervision.
• Strong understanding of finishing techniques paint line processes and quality control standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints 2D drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing 5S and continuous improvement practices.
• Effective leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach and motivate employees.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
• Decisive problem-solving skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet production and shipping deadlines.
• Proficient in using production tracking systems and reporting tools.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
  OR5 years in a manufacturing or finishing environment with 2 years in a supervisory role.
