Production Technician

This is a first shift position M-F with OT as needed to meet customer demands.

Summary

The production technician assembles and tests products and sub-assemblies per accepted safety quality and productivity standards and protocols that he/she helps initiate and maintain along with the assistance of other production personnel. All of this is done to ultimately maximize our customers satisfaction level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assembles and tests electrical/electronic products and sub-assemblies per accepted safety quality and productivity standards and protocols.
• Records and submits productivity and quality metrics to the Team leader or Production Supervisor
• Maintains his/her work area and tools in an orderly manner daily.
• Plays a pivotal role in maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Observes all safety rules and provides suggestions to improve safety and wears proper PPE.
• Completes all essential duties as well as the applicable paperwork and computer entries on a timely basis.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in an electrical or related technical program preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months electro-mechanical experience required; 13 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic understanding of circuit boards schematic reading and electrical meter skills.
• Background working with AC/DC voltages.
• Experience using a multimeter please describe how you have used one in past roles or training.
• Other:Knowledge of MS Office and general computer literacy and utilizing an inventory management system is preferred.
