Environmental Affairs Specialist

We areseekingamotivated anddetail-orientedindividual to join our team as an Environmental Affairs Specialist.In thisroleyou willbe responsible forsupportingthe environmental function through the development trainingmonitoringand reporting of environmental programs and procedures.

Whatyoulldo

  • Support development and implementation oftheenvironmental management system including policies procedures and training.

  • Assistwith environmental licensing and monitoring for North American operations.

  • Manage environmental assessments for capital projects acquisitions and divestitures.

  • Oversee government environmental reporting and data management; provides reports and compliance recommendations.

  • Support major environmental incident investigations andrecommendscorrective actions.

  • Deliver training and coaching on environmental policies and best practices.

  • Acts asa liaison with external regulatory agencies.

  • Representthe companyon external committees to influence and respond to regulatory changes.

  • Advise onfacility and equipment design to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Research regulatory requirements and industry standards to guide business decisions.

  • Collaborate with operations to promote a strong environmental health and safety culture.

  • Manage contractorselectionand oversight to ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Assistin budgeting for environmental projects.

  • Contributeto long-term environmental strategy programs and performance metrics.

  • Acts as a liaison with external regulatory agencies.

What you bring to our team

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in environmental consulting or plant/processing environments.

  • Bachelors degree in engineering science business or related field.

  • Professional designation (e.g.) preferred.

  • Bilingual (English/French)with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation abilities.

  • Abilityto work independently andcollaboratively.

  • Strong conflict resolution organizational and analyticalskills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • In-depth knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations.

  • Experience with ISO 14001 system development or implementation.

  • Flexible to support multi-shift operations as needed.
