Job Description
Title: Track and Field MiddleSchoolDistance Boys and Girls
Terms of Employment: Supplemental Contract
Reports to: Athletic Director
Qualifications:
- Experience in the designated sport
- Must Meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education and OHSAA including acquiring a pupil activity permit.
- Prior coaching experience at theMiddleSchool Level or above preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and instruct themiddle school track and field team consisting of approximately 20-40 student athletes.
- Conduct regular practices with the team.
- Coach student athletes in a positive manner.
- Ensure the safety of all student athletes during practices and competitions.
- Develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing skill levels under the supervision of the Head Coach.
- Coordinates coaching methods and responsibilities with the Head Coach and other Assistant and Volunteer Coaches.
- Coaching will require six days per week including practices and contests. 15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.
- Supervise and travel with the team to all contests.
- Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or Head Varsity Track and Field Coach
Working Conditions:
- Potential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue
- Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather
- Regular requirement to sit stand walk talk hear see and read
- Regular requirement to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
