The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching learning creativity social development and groundbreaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

About the role:

  • In this role youll take the lead in shaping unit teaching teams and work closely with colleagues across the course to create engaging effective curricula and learning resources. Youll play a key part in reviewing and refining units to ensure they stay relevant and impactful.
  • Youll bring industry clinical or research insights into the classroom to enrich student learning and boost engagement. Innovation is central to what we doso youll be encouraged to design learner-focused research-informed teaching practices that work across different levels and delivery modes.
  • Were looking for someone whos passionate about collaboration and inclusion. Youll create opportunities for students to learn together and ensure your unit materials are accessible and supportive of diverse learning needs. Deep discipline knowledge is essential and youll use it to inform and elevate your unit design.
  • Youll deepen expertise in your teaching discipline by driving scholarship and pedagogical researchespecially with a focus on mental health. Whether its exploring innovative teaching strategies or contributing to evidence-based practices your work will help shape how mental health is understood and supported in learning environments.
  • This position is suited to a person with an emerging record and passion for learning and teaching a keen interest in contributing to community engagement for teaching and employability.

As a Lecturer in Nursing Education-focused you will lead undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching teams drive innovation in curriculum design and champion high-impact scholarship to enhance student experience and outcomes in your discipline.

To be successful youll have:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse.
  • A postgraduate qualification in mental health and mental health nursing experience.
  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning.
  • Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.
