INTERNSHIP TYPE: Internship
HOURS/SCHEDULE: Monday Tuesday Thursday; 10am-3pm (Days/times subject to availability)
PROGRAM/LOCATION: Development Windsor CT
Summary: Community Health Resources (CHR) the most comprehensive non-profit behavioral healthcare provider in Connecticut is looking for an intern to support a range of fundraising donor engagement and brand management efforts.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on fundraising experience and work side-by-side with development and marketing professionals. The intern will be part of CHRs Advancement Team and duties will include:
- Pre-event support for CHRs signature fundraising event Swing for Hope a golf and tennis outing in September of 2026.
- Ongoing support for CHRs development activities including donor events mailings and more.
- Ongoing brand management support to help represent CHR at community events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Event Support: Swing for Hope
- Assist the Development and Marketing Associate with conducting outreach to businesses to inquire about in-kind donations for the 2026 Swing for Hope silent auction. Similarly track the outreach and confirmed donations.
- Support the Development Director in all aspects of event organization including:
- Tracking donations
- Assembling silent auction baskets
- Arranging golf games
- Assembling day-of materials
- Ongoing Development Work
- Print weekly donation acknowledgements get letters signed by SVP and mail them out within 48 hours of receiving the donation.
- Assist with monthly/quarterly mailings including new donor mailings and monthly birthday cards.
- Keep track of donor touchpoints in Bloomerang.
- Assist with internal and external events.
- Manage accurate inventory of fundraising supplies including CHR cards envelopes stamps stationery etc.
- Brand Management
- Fulfill requests for swag and marketing support from internal departments.
- Maintain accurate calendar of community events.
- Manage accurate inventory of marketing swag.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school degree enrolled in a bachelors or graduate program
Experience: Applicants with related experience to non-profit fundraising or special events preferred; experience with Word Excel and PowerPoint is preferred; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and donor database/CRM platforms is a plus.
Additional Qualifications:
- Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Excellent communication skills
- Be communicative with both supervisors and detail-oriented
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of CHRs clients
- Have a car and/or ability to travel to the Windsor office

COMPENSATION*
