There is currently one specified purpose 2 year (24month) whole-time vacancy available in one of the HSE Dublin & Midlands Corporate Offices. The line manager is open to engagement in respect of flexibility but the post holder must be agreeable to one day each week on site at Bridgewater Business Centre Islandbridge Dublin 8.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Assistant Director of Nursing (Band 1) Nursing & Midwifery Information Officer Digital Health from which current and future specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose of Post:

The purpose of this post is to provide Nursing and Midwifery leadership in the successful implementation adoption and optimisation of Digital for Care projects commencing with the National Shared Care Record (NSCR) across the Dublin & Midlands region.

The post holder will ensure that the Nursing and Midwifery workforce is enabled to effectively contribute to and benefit from integrated digital care records. The ADON Digital Health information officer will act as a key conduit between national and regional technology and transformation teams to enable local implementation teams embed and sustain digital systems. The post holder will ensure that nursing and midwifery information flow is patient centred safe effective and compliant with regulatory standards in the delivery of clinical nursing and midwifery services within these transformational digital health projects.

Eligibility Criteria - Qualifications and/ or experience:

1. Statutory Registration Professional Qualifications Experience etc

(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:

  1. Are registered or are eligible for registration in the General Nurse Division and other divisions as relevant to the specific service of the Register of Nurses and Midwives as appropriate maintained by the Nursing & Midwifrey Board of Ireland (NMBI) (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann)

And

  1. Have 7 years post registration nursing experience and 3 years nursing management experience at a minimum of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) in an acute setting.

And

  1. Have successfully completed a post registration programme of study as certified by the education provider which verified that the applicant has achieved a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 8 or higher award maintained by Quality & Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) or can provide written evidence from the Higher Education Institute that they have achieved the number of ECTS credits equivalent to a Level 8 or higher standard in a health care or management related area.

And

(b) Candidates must possess the requisite clinical leadership managerial and administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Annual Registration

(i)Practitioners must maintain live annual registration in the General Nurse

Division and other divisions as relevant to the specific service of the

Register of Nurses and Midwives as appropriate maintained by the Nursing

& Midwifery Board of Ireland NMBI (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).

And

(ii)Practitioners must confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by way

of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character

Post Specific Requirements:
