Job Summary

Job Title: ELEVATE GEAR UP Success Coach

Job Summary: The ELEVATE GEAR UP Success Coach will play a pivotal role in supporting the academic social-emotional and college/career readiness development of middle and high school students within a targeted district. Beginning with the 6th and 7th-grade cohort in the 2025-2026 school year the Success Coach will provide guidance and mentorship throughout the students academic journey continuing through their first year of post-secondary education. This position requires a passionate dedicated individual with at least 60 college credit hours and experience working with youth especially in rural educational settings. The Success Coach will support students in navigating academic challenges building resilience and preparing for post-secondary success all while fostering strong relationships with families and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Provide personalized academic support social-emotional coaching and college/career readiness guidance to students assisting them in setting and achieving their educational and personal goals.

  • Data Collection & Analysis: Regularly track and assess student progress through data collection and analysis using insights to refine and improve support services and ensure students meet their academic and post-secondary readiness milestones.

  • Fostering College-Going Culture: Promote a college-going culture within the school community encouraging students to pursue higher education and equipping them with the tools knowledge and mindset to succeed.

  • Relationship Building: Develop strong trusting relationships with students families and community partners to ensure holistic support and create a network of resources for student success.

  • Program Evaluation: Collaborate with the ELEVATE GEAR UP team to evaluate program effectiveness identify areas for improvement and contribute to continuous program enhancements.

  • Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and role model for students providing encouragement guidance and advocacy to help them overcome barriers to success.

  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in student support social-emotional learning and college readiness.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 60 college credit hours with a background in education social work psychology or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working with youth particularly in educational mentoring or counseling roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students families and school staff.
  • Knowledge of academic support strategies social-emotional learning and college/career readiness programs.
  • Ability to collect analyze and use data to drive student success and program improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team maintaining a proactive solution-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing training and development to further enhance skills and knowledge.
