Job Summary
Position Summary
Honors Public Policy Semester in DC employs recent graduates to serve as mentors for the students on the program. The mentors work in teams to host professional development and alumni networking sessions with students on the program weekly on Thursday evenings. The mentors coordinate with the other team of mentors and arrange other recent graduates to attend the session to discuss their jobs and career paths.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Mentors must be employed or in school in DC willing to mentor current students connect students with other recent graduates in the area and be compassionate and communicative with the students and the program managers in Chapel Hill regarding any student issues and concerns.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Prior program participation courses in Public Policy/Political Science at UNC and/or working in public service preferred.
Work Schedule
Thursdays 6:00 PM 8:00 PM and additional events as needed
