About the Team:

Relativity Space pioneered large-scale additive manufacturing with our Terran 1 rocket the largest 3D-printed object to fly. Youll work alongside welders robotics engineers data scientists and systems engineers at the intersection of hardware and software creating an end-to-end additive manufacturing platform that serves a wide variety of applications. About the Role:

• Demonstrate both hands on and theoretical understanding of arc welding processes to produce high quality welds for Wire Directed Energy Deposition (Wire-DED W-DED); Additive Manufacturing (AM)
• Independently monitor welding and change consumables
• Understand and operate mechanized or robotic welding equipment
• Collaborate with multiple teams from design robotics materials NDE and operations using verbal and written communications

About You:

• 3 years of welding industry experience
• Technical and theoretical experience with GMAW
• Diagnose weld defects and suggest corrective actions for both repair and process optimization
• Capable of using metal working tools including 3-axis mills lathes manual GTAW GMAW welding
• Ability to perform first pass diagnostics and identification of issues with robotic welding systems
• Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills

Nice to haves but not required:

• Robotic Welding experience
• Experience with Fronius Welding Power Supplies
