The position
We are looking for an Assistant/ Treasury Manager who will join our Global Business Services division to guide Treasury Analyst team provide treasury operations liquidity management cash management risk management services and support on strategic financial planning to the GBS customers.

The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur office which is in the heart of city and easy to get to go by public transportation.
About the department
The Assistant/ Treasury Manager will report to the Treasury Director.
Who you are
This is the perfect role for someone with experience in treasury and/or finance systems and projects who is meticulous detail-oriented and eager to work on a global scale. Youll have the opportunity to broaden your expertise collaborate across regions and learn extensively in a dynamic environment.
What you will be doing
- Lead daily treasury operations and bank account management including bank accounts and user maintenance internal and external facilities and banking compliance.
- Guide Treasury Analyst team and provide coaching.
- Oversee cash management banks on bank related matters such as opening and closing of bank accounts bank fees KYC OFAC related enquiries and other relevant matters
- Develop and implement treasury policies and procedures ensuring compliance with internal controls regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Promote a culture of fraud prevention and fraud awareness within the treasury function implementing controls and monitoring mechanisms to mitigate fraud risks.
- Review and manage guarantees including submission of guarantees applications via groups trade finance banks follow up to ensure timely issuance and recording of guarantees into treasury system.
- Provide treasury data and information for ad hoc reports required by the management and BU.
- Maintain and foster effective relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Identify opportunities and implement treasury-related process improvements.
- Cover daily treasury operations during the absence of Treasury Director.
- Other ad-hoc duties or special treasury projects.
What experience and skills required
- Degree in Business/ Finance/ Accountancy or relevant industry qualifications (CA/CPA/ACT)
- Minimum 8 years of experience from treasury and/or accounting audit background is a plus
- Strong knowledge of financial controls processes and industry best practices
- A proactive organized & independent individual with a sound technical skill good analytical mind & meticulous in work
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial applications and Kyriba TMS systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
