We are seeking a dynamic highly motivated Property Services Coordinator who demonstrates our values of compassion accountability responsiveness and empowerment; to our clients families and each other.

The Property Services Coordinator will support property services at our head office in Hamilton and across the organization as needed. This includes completing general maintenance repairs and upkeep for assigned equipment and properties overseeing maintenance workers and coordinating projects. The position reports to the Manager Property Services and will support the wider portfolio as needed.


Status Duration and Rate of Pay:


This position is full-time permanent classified as non-union. The annual salary is $55166.80 based on a 40-hour work week. The role is onsite within the Operations & Property Services department.




Key Responsibilities:



  1. Execute daily activities that ensure effective and efficient management of the properties across Hamilton and achieve operational plans.
  2. Implement major and oversee minor preventative maintenance and repair projects including equipment painting/finishes plumbing electrical basic carpentry heating/cooling and base building systems.
  3. Keep accurate records and provide timely reports as needed including using an online maintenance tracking system and following petty cash protocols.
  4. Coordinate projects including liaising with colleagues internally scheduling external service providers and overseeing maintenance work being completed on-site.
  5. Oversee maintenance workers including monitoring compliance with organizational policies best practices and relevant regulations and actively resolve day-to-day issues.
  6. Deliver supports and training to staff involved with maintenance/property services.
  7. Comply with all of Wesleys policies government regulations and industry standards and work with Manager to identify and mitigate risks.
  8. Follow all health and safety procedures and assist the Manager with health & safety requirements including but not limited to: conducting fire drills and maintaining safety equipment.
  9. Act as emergency on-call contact for maintenance related issues on a rotating basis.
  10. Participate in planning process development and quality improvement associated with property services.



What you will bring:



  1. High school diploma/GED required
  2. 5 years of building maintenance
  3. Ability to work days evenings weekends and on-call independently in the absence of supervision
  4. Ability to handle the physical demands of the job including standing bending pulling pushing climbing and lifting at least 50 pounds.
  5. Valid drivers license with access to a vehicle
