Working closely with other members of the Engineering Team you will assist in the daily operations of the Hotel to ensure systems are maintained to meet the highest standards possible. This candidate must be experienced in all aspects of the trade able to work independently as a team player and adhere to both environmental and safe work practices.

Rate of Pay: $33.68/hour
Job Duties Include:
- Conduct preventive maintenance on the mechanical equipment like boilers chillers air handling units fan coil units compressors and pumps
- Maintain hotel guest room and public space preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate reports and logs as per the hotel requirements and ABSA.
- Maintain a safe and hazard free work environment.
- Maintain a proficient knowledge of the task checklist
- Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment operation
- Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on propertys facilities and equipment
- Experience with HVAC system chiller boilers and refrigeration system
- Perform chemical test for boiler and chiller etc.
- Ensure all work orders assigned will be done with the least possible delay especially where guest comfort is concerned
- Assist other trades as required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends evenings overnights rotating shifts extended hours and being available for emergencies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- 4th Class Power Engineer designation is required
- Valid Alberta Class 5 drivers license required with clear abstract
- Computer knowledge in energy management and building automation software programs
- Manual dexterity and physical ability to lift up to 25 kg
