Wage range: $28.24 - $29.13 per hour (Start rate in accordance with collective agreement)
Status: Temporary Full-Time (approximately 6 months)
Shifts: Variable Shifts (Monday - Friday) 7:30-15:30 & 10:00-18:00

Duties
The responsibilities of the Billing/Data Entry Clerk include:
- Performing billing activities following established procedures
- Involving billing patient for services provided
- Processing/billing third parties requestors for services provided to them and/or their clients
- Performing other billing activities
- Maintaining patient billing accounts
- Performing clerical responsibilities
- Performing cross-functional duties as assigned and/or required
- Performing other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned and/or required.
Qualifications :
- At minimum completion of post secondary certificate up to 1 year in bookkeeping or data entry or recognized equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year practical and related experience and/or 9 months on the job training required
- Experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent
- Experience in Customer Service
- Experience with Data Analysis
- Ability to understand verbal work orders/instructions.
- Ability to read and understand short notes brief forms/instructions detailed forms standard memos/letters.
- Ability to add subtract multiply divide and calculate percentages ratios and/or averages.
- Ability to operate simple equipment.
- Some problem solving skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards.
- Exercise initiative and good judgement with ability to multi-task.
- Compliance with confidentiality requirements under UHN Privacy Policy.
- Effective organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of applicable legislative UHN and/or departmental policies.
- Client service oriented with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand.
