Job Summary

Join us in bringing a new approach to medical and wellbeing care for detainees by:

  • Providing individual and group counselling sessions to address a broad spectrum of psychosocial issues.

  • Conducting detailed psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and strengths and developing personalized treatment plans.

  • Offering immediate support and intervention during crisis situations ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records including assessment results treatment plans and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

                                               ***Casual or 0.2 FTE position available***


Qualifications :

Lets talk about you!

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work Psychology Counselling or a related field and have a minimum of two years experience in a counselling or social work role preferably supporting diverse populations with a range of psychosocial issues. They must also maintain current registration with a recognised professional body such as ACA or PACFA including ACA Level 2 or an equivalent industry association.
