The Human Resources Generalist assists with the deployment of Human Resources programs policies and practices. Responds to process questions and disseminates HR information. Provides general policy and process guidance to the HR Service Center.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates; knowledgeable of policies practices trends and information affecting the business and organization; understands the competition and the marketplace. Understands how to accomplish tasks through formal channels and informal network; understands the cultures of organizations. Applies this information in a way that contributes to the organizations strategic plan and bottom line
Using a variety of media clearly conveys information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
Provides guidance to organizational stakeholders.
Processes information by evaluating statements or propositions for their validity using inductive and deductive reasoning. Detects logical fallacies in arguments.
Integrates core values integrity and accountability throughout all organizational and business practices.
Values and considers the perspectives and backgrounds of all parties.
Directs and contributes to initiatives and processes within the organization.
Effectively leverages and builds relationships with key stakeholders and communities.
Knowledge of HR information systems (e.g. self-service systems automated request tools) including how to write queries and comply with process documentation requirements.
Knowledge of company HR policies and procedures and how they relate to local state and federal labor laws and regulations.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
0 to 2 years of related work experience
Experience in effectively communicating using both verbal and written formats in a clear concise manner
Thorough knowledge of applicable local state federal labor and workplace laws
Thorough knowledge of HR policies systems procedures guidelines and philosophies
OSHA

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Education: Bachelors Degree Human Resources Business or related field of study.
2 to 4 years of related work experience
Proficient in Spanish
Certification: Professional in Human Resources (SPHR/PHR)
