About the role

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced Coordinator or a senior Registered Nurse ready to take the next step in their nursing career. This role works across Wards 7B and 7C providing the chance to develop and lead within a dynamic cardiology environment.

Ward 7B comprises eight Coronary Care beds caring for a diverse mix of patients many requiring a Medical High Dependency level of care. Ward 7C is a 24-bed inpatient unit supported by a six-bed Day Unit operating Monday to Friday.

We are a fast-paced supportive and collaborative team that values professionalism adaptability and a positive workplace culture.

  • Coordinate resources to meet identified needs of patients and staff
  • Manage staff and patient flows both across the department and between wards.
  • Supervise of nursing staff
  • Provide clinical leadership
  • Maintain a high standard of patient focused care.
  • Quality and Risk Management
  • Contribute to the departments risk minimisation activities and service activities
  • Foster a quality improvement culture.
  • Role model and provide staff with clinical educational support.

About you

  • a current NZ APC and relevant post graduate qualifications
  • A Senior Registered Nurse with significant experience
  • have or be working towards PDRP Level 3.
  • You will bring a clear focussed vision; strive for contemporary practice and be firm but fair with the ability to inspire staff being their advocate when needed.
  • Proven success in nursing leadership will be complemented by your knowledge of and experience in clinical quality safety and best practice.

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expried NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the Pay Scale between $116040 and $127674 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
