Thalle Construction Co. Inc. is pleased to announce a career opportunity for a Yard Foreman to join us on the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) A-2 Reservoir in Palm Beach County Florida. This project marks the largest contract in the Jacksonville Districts history valued at $2.87 billion. Thalle will oversee the construction of a 17.75-mile embankment dam and associated structures. This project offers potential Project Team members a valuable opportunity to broaden their professional experience and advance their careers throughout its duration. The CEPP plays a vital role in Everglades restoration aiming to enhance ecosystem health improve water storage and increase resilience to climate change.

Job Title: Yard Foreman

Salary:$85000/yr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Yard Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations in the construction yard ensuring that all materials equipment and facility services are effectively managed. This position requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of heavy civil construction processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shipping and receiving maintaining inventories material handling and managing of onsite services etc.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse or yard (construction or other industry experience. Heavy Civil preferred).
Proven track record in inventory control purchasing and logistics.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in a warehouse or yard setting.

Requirements:

Typically works 10 hours per day 6-7 days per week in the South Florida outdoor environment.
Wears all required personal protective equipment on daily basis.
May be exposed to poisonous snakes insects and similar.
May be required to work on variable terrain in performance of duties.
Will be required to operate motor vehicle and forklift.
Routinely lifts/carries up to 50 pounds unassisted on daily basis.
