Bristol Hospital RNs in the Families are First (FAF) Birthing Center will care for their patients during the full spectrum of Labor Delivery Recovery and Postpartum Care. We also have 24/7 anesthesia coverage and a Pediatric Hospitalist on site. Nurses who provide patient-centered care at Bristol Hospital and affiliates are the coordinators of care and provide continuity of care across the continuum. Nurses at Bristol Health consider a patients unique need and individualize care accordingly and establish goals towards desired outcomes. Nurses practice autonomously and consistent with professional standards; they assess and provide appropriate patient care based on competence expertise and knowledge.

Required skills:

- NRP preferred at time of hire. Must obtain within 6 months of hire.
- American Heart Association CPR BLS certification required at time of recertification.
- Must have an Active CT Registered Nurse license.
- Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing and willing to obtain BSN. BSN is preferred.
Must be willing to be floated or reassigned to another department unit office or location as needed.
We are looking for RNs who have 1 year (Preferred) of experience in Labor & Delivery.
Qualifications
Educational / Minimum Requirements:
- 1 year experience (Preferred) in a Maternity / Labor & Delivery Setting.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred at time of hire. Must obtain within 6 months of hire.
- American Heart Association CPR BLS certification required at time of recertification.
- Must have an Active CT Registered Nurse license.
- Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing and willing to obtain BSN. BSN is preferred.
