Job Summary

Overview:


- Researches writes and submits grant applications in support of departments across the hospital (average 25-30/year)

- Assists in the writing and creation of grant reports impact reports proposals and other communications from the Foundation and staff

- Builds relationships with departments and staff from across the hospital to help advance Foundation goals

May coordinate events fundraising campaigns volunteer groups and programs manage relationships and oversee fundraising databases and reporting. Will require occasional evenings and weekends.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with donors and sponsors.
  • Prepares reports on foundation activities and outcomes.
  • Collaborates with team members to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Ensures compliance with grant requirements and deadlines.

Education Requirement:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable with people of all ages and backgrounds. Must be equally comfortable with public speaking and one-on-one communication.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative devotion to hospital mission and on-going personal education and development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to be a team player and display diplomacy/political savvy.
  • Ability to be entrusted with personal and confidential information and make ethical decisions.

Experience:

One year of fund-raising sales or relevant experience preferred.
