Our programs include school-based therapy outpatient counseling psychiatric evaluations community support and substance abuse services.
We are seeking a full-time Family Centered Treatment Therapist to provide community-based/in-home individual and family therapy for children youth adolescents adults and their families. The person in this position will work with clients and families/natural supports to assess their strengths and needs assisting families with planning developing implementing and assessing treatment and ancillary services recommending the types of treatment modalities needed and providing these services directly or by referral. Duties may also include maintaining oversight of services provided within and outside the agency acting as an advocate for the client and family/natural supports in the community and developing/evaluating the person-centered plan with the client and team to ensure that services are being delivered and are appropriate to the needs of the client and family/natural supports. Therapists providing Family Centered Treatment will have an average caseload of 4 to 6 youth and/or families per clinician. A licensed professional will supervise all FCT Therapists.
Compensation:$54372.84 - $64958.40
List of Responsibilities Requirements and Duties
Create develop monitor revise and implement the clients Person-Centered Plan.
Provide clinical guidance and/or oversight in the development of crisis plans and transition plans when clients move in and out of services.
Provide individual family or group therapy to clients and their families/natural supports based on their needs diagnoses and best evidence-based practices.
Provide written documentation as required. This will include treatment notes goals and plans for the medical record (e.g. service notes person-centered plan)
Be available to respond as needed to clients and co-workers 24/7/365.
Must be fully certified in FCT within twelve months of initial hire via the official FCT certification program. Successfully complete the competency-based standardized FCT Foundation re-certification every two years.
Complete 10 CE training hours per year.
Provide phone contact consultation and a minimum of two multiple-hour sessions per week per client. Meet weekly with fellow FCT clinicians and FCT supervisor.
Complete all fidelity measures and required paperwork.
Advocate for the client family and natural supports in the community.
Participate in Child and Family Team meetings.
This is considered Light Work; no lifting over 20 pounds.
Direct Services
Work to implement therapeutic interventions crisis interventions behavioral interventions psycho-educational activities and other best evidence-based practice therapies.
Work with clients families natural supports and collateral agencies in reviewing applying and achieving goals as indicated in the Person-Centered Plan.
Provide clinical leadership to child and family teams.
Provide parent/guardian/natural support training that will aid persons interacting with the client in dealing more effectively with the client.
Assist in all service delivery as formally planned with the clinical team.
Minimum Education Training and Experience
At a minimum possess a Masters Degree in counseling social work or psychology and hold a current license or associate license in social work (LCSW/A LCMHC/A).
An employee must become NVCI certified; receive training in population served and client rights/confidentiality. Employees will be required to attend orientation to the Carolina Outreach LLC treatment model and agency policies and procedures. CPR/First Aid and BBP certification will be required. A valid drivers license and current automobile insurance is also required. An employee must demonstrate having the core skills to deliver In-Home therapy Community Support and Intensive In-Home services prior to service provision. Employees must complete the state mandated service definition trainings within 90 days of employment. All staff providing FCT must complete a minimum of 20 total hours of training specific to the required components of the service definitions including crisis response and person-centered thinking within the first 90 days of employment.
