The research unit
The research at the Research Unit of Emergency Medicine is organized into four main focus areas:
The position as associate professor is within the focus area of the Academy of Emergency Nursing which conducts high-quality research to improve the care of acutely ill patients their families and the emergency care workforce. We focus on nursing practices that ensure safe effective and personalized care in fast-paced clinical settings. Our work integrates clinical expertise and research to advance knowledge inform policy and strengthen professional practice in emergency care.
The academic position
The job involves research professional development research education teaching including exams supervision and assessment work within the field ofemergency care research and user involvement.
Expectations of qualifications
The associate professor must have documented research experience within the areas of emergency care research qualitative research and user involvement.
In addition good cooperation skills will be expected in order to further the development of research in the areas mentioned above both interdisciplinary as well as nationally and internationally.

Assessment
Shortlisting will be used as part of the initial selection process.
Assessment of shortlisted applications will be done under the existing Appointment Order for universities. Shortlisted applications will be assessed by an assessment committee. The committee may request additional information and if so it is the responsibility of the applicant to provide the necessary material.
When the assessment committee has submitted its report the applicants will receive part of the evaluation that concerns themselves.
