Fleet Servicing is anestablished teamwithintheOffshore Operations Fleet Management & Support teamthatisresponsible forthe annual servicing of Wind Turbines atNordsee-OstKaskasiGreater GabbardandLondon Arrayfrom an SOV along with supportingHV operations andtroubleshootingover the winter months asrequired.

The SOV Manager will report to the Fleet Servicing Operations Manager and has primary responsibility for the day to day management of the Fleet Servicing SOV and the associated vessel-based resources to safely and efficiently deliver WTG scheduled service at Nordsee-OstKaskasiGreater GabbardandLondon Array during the summer period and trouble shooting in the winter months. The role includes management of the resources resident on the SOV and will be supported by a Works Coordinator and Senior Technician who will deputise for the lead during the overnight operations. The SOV Manager will work with the wider Fleet Servicing shore based team to ensure that the team business objectives are identified prioritised and supported.

The SOV sails every 14 days from ports in the UK and Germany significant travel and UK working permits / visas will required for this role.

About the role:

• Collaboratively work with the vessel operator fleet servicing marine and logistics and site operational teams to ensure the vessel is ready for charter and turbine servicing including the preparation of necessary procedures and processes
• Ensuring all RWE HSE requirements are adhered too. Reporting of vessel and servicing near misses/observations. Implementation of safety improvements safety briefings to all teams located on board the vessel feedback of actions to vessel and wider teams
• Responsible for determining the vessel priorities and communicating these in a timely manner to the SOV crew shore based fleet servicing team operational sites and control room teams
• Establishing and coordinating daily communications structures line management for RWE vessel-based personnel managing offshore personnel issues managing office/stores/workshop allocations ensuring the team have the correct skills to fulfill the designated tasks
• Day to day contract management of a team of contractor resources required to complete the WTG servicing
• Monitoring of vessel performance and servicing schedules against key metrics and reporting accordingly. Working with vessel project and site operationalteam to identify and implement improvements in vessel and turbine operational procedures
• Agreeing port call times and durations with vessel team shore based teams and Control Rooms communicating same to all stakeholders ensuring that port call activities are planned and implemented to mitigate risk of vessel delay
• Updating RWE systems used for servicingdata collection and verification to include but not limited to SAP Alarm Management System and Data Validation Tool

Job requirements and experience:

• Skilled coordination and leadership abilities highly motivated and resourceful
• Proficient communication skills able to communicate effectively within a team
• The capability to work within a team to lead a local team of resources and to manage demands from the project
• A thorough understanding of offshore operational practices and WTG servicing
• Have managed operational and/or vessel operations on Offshore Wind Farms
• A higher education qualification or experience working within the offshore wind industry
• Fluent in English speaking / writing

Advantageous but not essential:

• High level safety qualifications such as NEBOSH

There will be an expectation to travel to sites outside of your base location (including Europe/Overseas) which may involve overnight stays. As travel will depart from various UK sites you may be based anywhere in the UK provided you can reach the port in time for travel days.
