The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the effective coordination of onsite Mechanical related construction activities direct wages employees plant resources and subcontract teams to achieve effective performance from all parties to ensure the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule and to the specified quality.
The Project
The project includes the design construction operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels seawater intake system a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant groundwater system drinking water storage and pump system supported by civil electrical and bulk earthworks.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise subcontractor scope of works and ensure team members understand responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records including daily diary notes and documentation
- Interpret project specifications and drawings to guide construction activities
- Provide input on construction sequences and methods throughout all stages
- Plan and monitor short-term programs upcoming work and resource levels
- Ensure safe and efficient movement of materials plant and equipment on site
- Attend site meetings and report on matters related to mechanical works
- Manage workforce compliance including start/finish times and documentation
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mechanical construction processes specifications and drawings
- Proven ability to supervise subcontractors and manage site teams effectively
- Experience in planning scheduling and resource coordination for construction projects
- Solid understanding of safety standards and compliance requirements on site
- Effective communication and record-keeping skills for reporting and documentation
