Job Summary
A popular and well-resourced secondary school in Colchester is looking to appoint a proactive and knowledgeable Science Technician for an immediate start. This is an ideal role for someone with a scientific background who enjoys hands-on practical work and supporting teaching.
About the Role
You will support the delivery of Science lessons across the full age range by:
Preparing apparatus chemicals and equipment for practical lessons
Supporting teachers with demonstrations
Managing stock control and ordering materials
Ensuring compliance with COSHH and health & safety regulations
Maintaining laboratories and prep rooms
Ensuring safe disposal of chemicals
Managing resources for Biology Chemistry and Physics
You will work closely with experienced teachers and an established technician team who will provide support and training.
