Job Summary
A vibrant Good-rated school in Essex (Chelmsford/Brentwood area) is seeking an enthusiastic and imaginative Art Teacher to join their Visual Arts department for an immediate start. This is a full-time permanent position and an excellent opportunity for a teacher with strong artistic practice who thrives in a supportive and creativity-driven environment.
About the Role
You will teach Art at KS3KS4 guiding students through the full creative processfrom developing initial ideas exploring media and techniques responding to artists and refining sketchbooks through to high-quality final outcomes for GCSE. The school values visual arts as an essential space for student expression and wellbeing not just a subject.
You will have the opportunity to:
Curate corridor or gallery displays
Support GCSE portfolio preparation
Lead extra-curricular art clubs
Contribute to exhibitions and community art projects
