Job Summary
Berlin International College (BIC) supports international students on their journey into the German higher education system and were looking for you to join our dedicated team at our preparatory college in idyllic Treptower Park right on the banks of the River Spree.
As a Academic Advisor youll be much more than just a point of contact: youll guide and support our students throughout their academic journey from their first application to their successful admission to a German university.

Tasks
- Together with the team you will inform and advise prospective students about our programs: by email phone social media or in person (on-site and virtually).
- You will accompany the application process on our application platform and communicate with partner universities external agencies and embassies.
- You will support students with visa and administrative topics as well as everyday concerns.
- As part of our team you will contribute to our marketing activities and help strengthen our brand visibility.
- You will assist with our internal and external events.
Requirements
- Experience in higher education particularly in areas such as student advising international offices or comparable roles.
- International experience through study work or stays abroad.
- Excellent English skills at a professional working level.
- Experience in handling visa and residence permit matters is considered a plus.
- Additional language skills are an asset.
- Good German skills are desirable but not essential.
- You have strong organizational skills and work in a structured independent and precise manner.
- You are reliable customer-oriented and maintain an overview even in challenging situations.
- As a team player you communicate clearly openly and in a solution-oriented manner.
