Job Title: RN ICU
Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe and effective patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process of assessment planning implementation and evaluation. The RN delivers direct patient care within the scope of practice and maintains established clinical and regulatory standards. This role includes communicating changes in patient condition to physicians monitoring hemodynamics interpreting diagnostic results and responding rapidly to critical changes. The RN supports patient and family education and guides the activities of other nursing personnel while ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities -
Deliver direct and continuous nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with ICU standards and facility policies.

Perform comprehensive assessments develop care plans and evaluate patient responses.

Monitor hemodynamic parameters laboratory results and diagnostic studies; report significant changes promptly.

Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.

Administer medications perform procedures and operate ICU monitoring equipment safely.
-
Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and ongoing care needs.
-
Maintain accurate timely clinical documentation.
-
Uphold all patient privacy safety and infection-control standards.
-
Support and guide other nursing personnel within the ICU as needed.
Qualifications (Legally Required) -
Current and valid California RN License.

Current BLS (AHA) certification.
-
Current ACLS (AHA) certification.
-
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in an acute care hospital.
