Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Accountant or CPA to join our tax department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of business and individual clients providing expert-level tax preparation review and strategic planning.

Prepare and review complex federal state and local tax returns for individuals corporations partnerships and trusts.
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial health.
Conduct in-depth tax research to ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations and stay current on changing tax legislation.
Manage client engagements from start to finish ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all deliverables.
Assist with federal and state tax audits and resolve tax-related notices.
This position may require financial preparation (compilations reviews and audits) in off tax-season months.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field. A Masters degree in Taxation is a plus.
Active CPA license is preferred but not required
5 years of progressive tax accounting experience in a public accounting setting.
Proficiency with tax preparation software (Lacerte) and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Desktop/Online).
Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
Exceptional analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
