Job Summary
Production Technician & Purchasing
Location: Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex
SUMMARY:
This role combines hands-on technical production work with procurement responsibilities. Youll be supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations while also handling purchasing tasks record keeping and vendor coordination. The position requires attention to detail cross-functional communication and the ability to manage both technical and administrative duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Duties
- Set up calibrate and align production equipment as needed
- Monitor and track equipment performance
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate repairs with appropriate technicians
- Compile equipment performance data for reporting
- Assist with training of entry-level production staff
- Work independently and escalate complex issues appropriately
Purchasing Duties:
- Edit purchase requests and generate purchase orders
- Research pricing and specs using catalogs and supplier resources
- Maintain files and records for materials inventory pricing and deliveries
- Perform related clerical duties
- Communicate with vendors for quotes and follow-up on orders
- Operate with minimal supervision and high accuracy
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma
- 4 6 years of relevant experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Manual dexterity and ability to lift/move heavy objects
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Solid problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
- Basic math and computer literacy (Excel Word)
PREFERENCES:
- Experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing (probe final test assembly)
- Familiarity with purchasing or ERP software
- Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role
- Comfortable handling both technical and clerical responsibilities
