Are you an experienced Operations and Supply Chain leader looking for an exciting opportunity to drive strategic change across our EMEA packaging division

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Divisional Supply Chain & Operations Director to spearhead the development and implementation of our supply chain and manufacturing strategy.

In this critical leadership role you will be responsible for optimizing our packaging supply chain and operations network to deliver best-in-class cost quality service and innovation that exceeds customer expectations. You will work closely with managing directors and operational management across the division to design a sustainable organizational model that positions us for future addition and critically the role embodies and leads the Health and Safety first agenda safety above all else.

Within your first year in role critical success factors will include

• Support the Integration process between legacy of IP and DS Smith

• Support the organization with developing strategy to bring to life the 80:20 technique

• Develop and implement supply chain optimization capital execution and sustainability delivery.

• Potential development of 3-year operations strategic plan

• Any short-term priorities major capital expenditures significant brownfield footprint work key hires etc

Key Accountabilities:

• Champion health safety and welfare as a top priority augmenting our zero accident culture

• Design and implement a visionary supply chain strategy to unlock benefits through techniques like 80/20 and lighthouse site development

• Continuously review and optimize our manufacturing and warehouse network footprint to meet evolving customer needs

• Establish standardized KPIs and performance management to benchmark operational excellence

• Provide inspiring leadership that fosters continuous improvement innovation and a customer-centric mindset

• Review/refine the organizational model for supply chain and manufacturing to meet current and future needs ensuring the right talent is in place with succession planning for a high-performing agile and collaborative operations team

• Ensure compliance with risk management environmental and other critical policies

• Oversee divisional capital expenditure planning budgeting and execution

About you

• Highly experienced with a demonstrable background in relevant functional operations/supply chain roles for complex multi-national organisations

• Proven track record driving fundamental change and process/governance maturity

• Passionate about health/safety and sustainability; embodies our zero accident/net zero ambitions

• Held a senior operations leadership position in a company of similar scope across EMEA

• Engaging leadership style with ability to articulate and execute strategic vision

• Strong data orientation with expertise analysing/presenting operational metrics

• Highly collaborative with skills to unite cross-functional/regional teams

• Low ego informal yet driven to take a high-growth company to new heights
