Description

75% FTE 8/12 hour evening/night shifts Monday - Friday with rotating weekends/holidays. Staggered start times between the hours of 7:00pm to 7:30am. This position covers University Hospital and American Family Childrens Hospital located in Madison WI.

Pay:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

  • Join ourVenous Access Team (VAT) as a highly specialized nursing professional who focuses on theassessment insertion and maintenance of Dobhoff tubes and venous access devices for all age groups including difficult to start peripheral IVs midline catheters and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC).
  • Provideconsultative services and education to nursing and medical staff as needed.
  • Participate in development maintenance and implementation of educational initiatives policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with multiple disciplines and team members who excel at interpersonal communication prioritizing leadership strategic planning critical thinking and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

  • Inpatient Units and Venous Access Team (VAT):
    Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Healths Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
  • Relevant RN Experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Required
  • Relevant Certification Preferred
