What youll be doing

As a Principal Product Manager for Zendesk Data Platform (ZDP) youll set the vision and roadmap for Zendesks foundational data systems enabling hundreds of engineers analysts and product managers to build analyze and innovate at scale. You will be the driving force behind platform usability adoption and compliance collaborating closely with engineering leads data governance ED&A and other core product teams. Your leadership will directly impact how Zendesk leverages its data for customer-facing and internal analytics products and AI/ML experimentation and feature development.

Youll balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution. Youll identify and elevate needs across our businessfrom infrastructure health to data operational excellenceand shape performant compliant and secure platform experiences for internal teams. Your work will set patterns and practices adopted across Zendesk and have broad executive visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and communicate the ZDP platform strategy vision and multi-year roadmap

  • Act as a cross-functional leader partnering with Engineering ED&A and Product Analytics

  • Lead and mentor other product managers; promote a culture of outcome-driven product development

  • Design champion and deliver platform improvements across the data value chain from ingestion transformation to utilization

  • Translate business and technical requirements into actionable plans; prioritize thoughtfully

  • Track and communicate progress wins and opportunities to senior leadership

What you bring to the role

  • Significant experience leading data platform or infrastructure product teams

  • Deep understanding of cloud data technologies and lifecycle management

  • Excellent communication influencing and stakeholder management skills

  • Strategic mindset with proven ability to deliver complex initiatives end-to-end

  • Strong organizational skills and high EQ

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or relevant field

  • 8 years in product management including senior/lead roles on data-focused teams

  • Track record of launching data services or platform products at scale

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in Snowflake and AWS data ecosystems

  • Experience at a SaaS company or in customer experience platforms

  • Experience working with distributed cross-geography teams
