Position Overview

Are you organized energetic and great with people Do you enjoy problem-solving and keeping operations running smoothly NC Trailers is hiring a full-time Service Coordinator to support our growing Service Department.

This role ensures customers receive fast friendly communication and that our service workflow from scheduling to customer updates to internal communication runs efficiently every day. If you have grit a positive attitude and love helping people this may be the perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Communication & Call Handling

  • Answer customer phone calls with a professional and helpful tone
  • Route calls to the correct team member or department
  • Assist customers with service-related questions scheduling and basic information
  • Log detailed messages from vendors suppliers and customers and notify the correct team member
  • Stay calm kind and solutions-focused with frustrated or upset callers

Service Workflow Support

  • Create update and organize service work orders
  • Communicate customer updates to service technicians and management
  • Follow up on parts orders vendor communication and job statuses
  • Help ensure all required documents photos and notes are properly attached to service jobs
  • Support process improvements to help the department operate more efficiently

Customer Experience & Facility Care

  • Keep the customer-facing area clean stocked and organized (coffee supplies counters handouts etc.)
  • Welcome customers in person and direct them to the correct area
  • Maintain a clean and professional atmosphere at the service counte

Skills & Experience

  • Comfortable talking to customers on the phone and in person
  • Ability to stay calm positive and helpful under pressure
  • Basic computer and organizational skills (email spreadsheets file organization typing)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn trailer terminology services and processes

Physical Requirements

  • Walk our 6-acre gravel lot (including hills) in hot or cold weather
  • Lift or open trailer gates/ramps up to 40 lbs
  • Work indoors and outdoors depending on customer needs

Licensing

  • Must have or be willing to obtain an NC Dealer License

Preferred but Not Required

  • Customer service service writer or receptionist experience
  • Experience with phone systems (transferring calls messaging multi-line systems)
  • Experience in automotive equipment or trailer service environments
  • Familiarity with service scheduling or workflow software
