Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is looking for a dynamic leader to assume the Quality Director role within its Communication Systems segment. This leader should bring a proven track record of developing departmental strategy and vision to ensure adherence with customer expectations defining and promoting a zero-defect culture and building high-performing quality addition this leader should be enthusiastic decisive and results-oriented with a collaborative approach to meet challenges.
Essential Functions:
- Communicate a vision and align the organization around strategic quality improvement. Foster a diverse high-performing and actively engaged quality organization.
- Facilitate and implement strategic quality management objectives such as the implementation of APQP/PPAP SPC RCCA processes etc. to achieve step-level quality metric performance improvement at all sites.
- Work with cross-functional leadership to identify best practices and implement them across product quality supplier quality and business process quality to drive customer satisfaction and meet internal quality objectives.
- Develop and implement a Quality Management System robust enough to meet business objectives and ensure product conformance to customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and business processes; and regulatory standards.
- Provide direct and indirect leadership to build a high-performing and actively engaged quality organization.
- Ability to obtain a US secret clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with 15 years prior experience Graduate Degree with 13 years prior lieu of a degree minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum 10 years experience of quality leadership.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with ISO9001 AS9100 and AS9145.
- Experience with lean 6-sigma concepts and processes (green/black belt preferred).
- Experience managing APQP/PPAP based programs.
- Experience driving formal root cause corrective action programs.
- Experience building a quality-focused culture and driving process program and product quality.
- Experience working with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
- New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
- Proficient computer skills.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements thesalary range for this role in Colorado state Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York state and Vermont is $143000 - $265000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
