Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a dynamic leader to assume the Quality Director role within its Communication Systems segment. This leader should bring a proven track record of developing departmental strategy and vision to ensure adherence with customer expectations defining and promoting a zero-defect culture and building high-performing quality addition this leader should be enthusiastic decisive and results-oriented with a collaborative approach to meet challenges.

Essential Functions:

Communicate a vision and align the organization around strategic quality improvement. Foster a diverse high-performing and actively engaged quality organization.
Facilitate and implement strategic quality management objectives such as the implementation of APQP/PPAP SPC RCCA processes etc. to achieve step-level quality metric performance improvement at all sites.
Work with cross-functional leadership to identify best practices and implement them across product quality supplier quality and business process quality to drive customer satisfaction and meet internal quality objectives.
Develop and implement a Quality Management System robust enough to meet business objectives and ensure product conformance to customer requirements.
Ensure compliance with company policies and business processes; and regulatory standards.
Provide direct and indirect leadership to build a high-performing and actively engaged quality organization.
Ability to obtain a US secret clearance

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree with 15 years prior experience Graduate Degree with 13 years prior lieu of a degree minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
Minimum 10 years experience of quality leadership.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience with ISO9001 AS9100 and AS9145.
Experience with lean 6-sigma concepts and processes (green/black belt preferred).
Experience managing APQP/PPAP based programs.
Experience driving formal root cause corrective action programs.
Experience building a quality-focused culture and driving process program and product quality.
Experience working with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
Proficient computer skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements thesalary range for this role in Colorado state Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York state and Vermont is $143000 - $265000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
