Are you a compassionate and dedicated registered nurse eager to make a difference in mental health care for children and adolescents The Johns Hopkins Hospitals Bloomberg 12 unit offers a rewarding opportunity to work across a comprehensive psychiatric care setting including a 15-bed acute inpatient psychiatry unit a 12-slot psychiatric Day Hospital for voluntary patients aged 5-17 and a 5-bed Psych Pod within our pediatric emergency department. Our patients present with a wide array of diagnoses such as mood disorders anxiety psychosis bipolar disorder and adjustment disorders often alongside medical co-morbidities like asthma diabetes sickle cell and cancer.

Role: Psychiatric and Pediatric Nurse
Shifts: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive assessments manage patient milieu de-escalate behavioral crises administer medications and provide holistic nursing care tailored to various ages and developmental capacities.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Nursing required; applicants enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within one year of hire and planning to complete within five years will also be considered.
Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
BLS CPR certification required.
No RN experience required

All New Graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in our yearlong Nurse Residency Program to facilitate your successful transition into professional nursing practice.
Salary Range: Minimum 35.02/hour - Maximum 52.69/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
