Job Summary
Insurance Claims Specialist
Hours: (M-TH) 8am-5pm and (F) 8am-3pm
Location: Onsite in Greenwood IN
Rate: $23.00/hour
Mid America Health is growing! We are seeking a full time Insurance Specialist to add to our team! Strong customer service skills ability to multitask proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are a must to be successful in this position!
The Insurance Specialist will perform an array of revenue cycle duties including but not limited to:
- Dental claim review and submission
- Identify and correct rejected and denied claims
- Managing accounts receivable including appeals
- Process and monitor incoming payments
- Update insurance plans/fee schedules as needed
- Chart note transcription
- Provide support with credentialing and contracting
- Assist with dental insurance verification for commercial and Medicaid plans in various states when needed
Insurance Specialist must be proficient with:
- Dental terminology
- CDT codes
- Dental insurance billing
- Accounts receivable
- Medicaid
Insurance Specialist ideal candidate will possess skills in:
- Research and problem solving
- Time management
- Effective communication
- Flexibility as operational priorities change
- Ability to work autonomously and in a group
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
