Expected Salary Range: $68806 to $114709
To determine final salary Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidates skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Companys sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role you will:
- Supervise Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) and Apprentices.
- Lead a team working on CL Water Bomber Aircraft and Commander 690 Aircraft as well as other aircraft as needed
- Maintain adjust modify test diagnose and repair an aircrafts mechanical or structural systems.
- Work with specialized aviation and power tools computers and diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Keep timely and accurate records of the repair and maintenance activities that were conducted.
- Carefully observe all procedures rules and regulations when performing any task.
- Be thoroughly familiar with and use safety procedures and safe work practices.
- Use the appropriate PPE for tasks/jobs.
- Maintain a clean and productive work area.
- Work efficiently alone and as part of a team.
- Read understand and adhere to the:
- Safety & Health Policy Statement
- Company Occupational Health & Safety Manual
- Company Policies and Procedures and the MPM.
- Utilize the Company reporting system to report any hazard incident or accident.
- Enter labor in the labor tracking system accurately for all tasks performed.
- Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines.
- Normal work schedule is
- Oct 1 to April 1 is Monday to Friday dayshift 40 hours per week. With potential for overtime.
- April 1 to Oct 1 is 2 weeks away from base 2 weeks off.
- The schedule does vary slightly depending on operational requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate brings:
- Must hold a valid M1 and/or M2 AME license
- Experience with CL-215/CL-415 aircraft is an asset
- Experience with Garrett Turbine powered aircraft is an asset
- Have demonstrated experience working in WinAir or other similar maintenance programs
- Have good organizational skills
- Are proficient in English written and spoken
- Have the physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods
- Have the physical ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods
- Have physical dexterity to allow working in confined spaces
- The ability and willingness to work shift work.
- Have ability to work at heights
- You are eligible for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and ITAR Clearance
- Have or can obtain a Canadian passport
- Hold a valid drivers license
