About The Role
As we continue our global growth were looking for an experienced and hands-on Director of Finance to support the business through a maternity leave period. This role will be instrumental in overseeing financial operations leading the finance team maintaining financial rigour and supporting creation of board and investor level materials and analysis. . We are looking for someone who has previously operated within a scaling business environment and is confident both strategically and in the financial detail.
Youll Be Responsible for
- Leading mentoring and supporting the finance team ensuring high performance clear priorities and strong collaboration across the business.
- Owning the monthly close process ensuring accurate timely and reliable reporting. Though this will be principally delivered by the financial controller.
- Maintaining rigorous financial controls compliance standards and audit readiness.
- Supporting budgeting and cost management across business functions.
- Building and managing the data room ensuring absolute accuracy and completeness of all materials.
- Preparing financial forecasts scenario models board pack materials and investor communications
- Owning and evolving the short and long-term financial forecast models.
- Analysing financial performance identifying risks weaknesses and opportunities.
- Flagging business risks early and provide clear data-driven recommendations to leadership.
- Supporting pricing business case development scenario planning and strategic decision-making.
About you
- You have proven experience in a scaling environment.
- Strong capability in forecasting scenario planning unit economics analysis and financial modelling with the ability to translate outputs into clear strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team fostering high performance and accountability.
- Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail able to get into the operational specifics while maintaining a strategic lens.
- Confident and clear communicator comfortable partnering with senior leadership board members and external investors.
- Able to identify and flag financial risks or weaknesses proactively offering solutions and mitigation strategies.
- Pragmatic adaptable and comfortable working at pace within a dynamic scaling business environment.
