TE Wire is hiring a Human Resources Generalist interacts with all departments of our organization.
The Human Resources Generalist supports human resources and recruitment processes and activities. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for employee questions advising on routine policies supporting recruiting efforts managing employee onboarding assisting with HRIS and records maintenance; and special projects as needed.
The Generalist assists with the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties. Performing administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource department.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to routine HR Policy questions and payroll inquiries escalating as necessary.
  • Support supervisors on time card approval process accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain HRIS and updating employment data workday system is used
  • Work with Group Defense Platform on projects and initiatives
  • Administer attendance policy and all associated reporting.
  • Assist with leave and disability benefits working to provide timely and accurate information to insurance provider employees and management.
  • Support local recruiting initiatives via phone interviewing and scheduling.
  • Assist with pre-screening of applicants coordinate new hire paperwork employee onboarding via orientation ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Partner with Human Manager to coordinate company events employee engagement activities safety and wellness initiatives etc.
  • Assist with employee training activities and recognition programs.
  • Maintain communications with employees and support employee feedback initiatives.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  • Support HR Manager with full life cycle of employee

Qualifications/ Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 2-3 years Human Resources experience in a Manufacturing/Distribution environment
  • BS degree in Human Resources or similar discipline PHR/SHRM-CP certificate holders encouraged to apply!
  • Working knowledge of Benefits Administration New Jersey Leave Administration
  • Proficient in ADP and Workday preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Spanish speaking a plus but not required)

Self-motivated and solution providing approach to work with the ability to handle challenges with discretion and decorum
