The Position
As a Court Case Manager 2 you will respond to inquiries in writing in person or by telephone from attorneys litigants court personnel judges and the general public. This position is responsible for processing civil and small claims default judgments and receiving all incoming civil documents in which court action is required. You will determine if documents are properly filed in accordance with statutes and court rules ensure motions are accompanied by all necessary supporting documents and notify counsel or pro se litigants of any deficiencies. You will be responsible for tracking motions using the motion tracking module by entering the type of motion filed date filed date ready for review and the disposition date.
Additionally you will generate a pull list of files ready for review check for oppositions and replies ensure all deficiencies have been cured and route files to appropriate judicial officer or route for the files final destination. This position will perform other duties and responsibilities within the Anchorage Trial Court as may be assigned.

The Work Hours
Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of advanced clerical work experience equivalent to a Court Case Manager 1 with the Alaska Court System or an equivalent position with another employer.
OR
Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND completion of a two-year paralegal curriculum from an accredited institution.
OR
A bachelors degree from an accredited college.

WORK HISTORY
