Job summary
DigiCert isseekingavisionary and hands-on Software Architectto define and build the next generation ofsecure and trustworthy AI systems. In this role you will drive innovation at the intersection ofAI identity and digital trust shaping how organizationsestablishconfidence in autonomous and intelligent systems.
Youlllead the ideation design and prototyping of new architectures that extend DigiCerts trusted capabilities from software supply chain integrity and document authenticity toemergingAgentic AI enterprise use cases ensuring that digital interactionsremainverifiable secure and accountablein an AI-powered world.
This position blendsstrategic architecture hands-on experimentation and cross-functional collaboration. You will help shape DigiCerts vision forAI Security and Trust driving the evolution of the DigiCert Trust Platform to meet the challenges of an AI-powered will bringa strong builder mindset able to move fluidly between strategic architecture and proventrack recordin building reliablescalableandhighly availableSaaS solutions.
What you will do
Innovation and Prototyping
- Rapidly design and deliverproofsof conceptexploringnew approachestoAI security and trust.
- Experiment with emerging technologies inAgentic AImodel provenance anddata integrity.
- UseAI-assisted development toolsto accelerate exploration and technical validation.
- Drive Innovation Culture:Champion experimentation ideation and rapid validation of new concepts that push the boundaries of how DigiCert defines and delivers digital trust.
Architectural Leadership
- Design scalable secure architectures that integratetrust principlesintoAI/ML pipelines Agentic workflowsand digital ecosystems.
- Define system blueprints and architectural standards for next-gen SaaS and AI platforms.
- Explore Emerging Technologies:Stay at the forefront ofAI safety governance model provenance and data assuranceidentifyingopportunities for DigiCert to lead in securing AI systems and digital assets.
- Participate in technical design reviews code reviews and incident retrospectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner withproductUX &research and engineeringleaders to align AI trust innovation across DigiCerts portfolios.
- Communicate architectural vision clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
- Mentor teams onsecure design cloud-native principles and AI security practices.
What you will have
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering ora relatedfield.
- Extensive experience (typically 10 years)incloud-nativesoftwarebackenddevelopment with at least 3 years in asoftware architecture or technical leadership role.
- Experience designing distributed microservices with REST orGraphQLAPIs
- ProficiencyinJava GoRustor Python withstrongknowledge ofdistributed systemsandmicroservicesarchitecture.
- Experience designingscalable secure and cloud-nativeapplications (AWS Azure GCP or OCI).
- ExpertisewithCI/CDautomation (GitHub Actions)TerraformDocker andKubernetes.
- Solid understanding ofsoftware engineering best practices agile development and DevOps principles.
- Experience with bothrelational(PostGresMySQL) andNoSQL(Cassandra MongoDB) databases.
Preferred
- Familiarity withTLSPublic Key Infrastructure (PKI) cryptography APIs and trust frameworks.
- Experience securing AI pipelines verifying model integrity orestablishingdata provenance in AI workflows is a strong differentiator.
- Knowledge ofsecure software supply chaindata provenance ormodel validationframeworks.
- Proficiencywithtools such asGit JIRAVSCode Cursor orVisual Studio.
Nice To Have
- Experience withGenerative AI (GenAI)andLarge Language Models (LLMs)such as GPT-4LLaMA or Claude.
- Familiarity withAI/ML frameworks(TensorFlowPyTorchLangChain OpenAI APIs).
- Exposure toAI governance risk and compliance (AI GRC)orAI security threat modeling.
- Experience fine-tuning or deploying LLMs and integrating AI assistants or agentic systems.
- Understanding ofdata analytics observability andAI performance monitoringin production environments.
- Knowledge ofDNSSEC or DANEis desirable.

Salary range $200000-$255000 (actual salary offered to a candidate within this range will depend on a variety of factors including relative levels of experience and education years in this or essentially similar role market competition etc.)
