Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day
Schedule: Rotating Days 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Travel Rate: $2475 $2693/Week
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Travel Registered Nurse Case Managerfor an exciting job in Hyannis MA.
Responsibilities
Screen new admissions to identify discharge planning needs and prioritize evaluations.
Conduct patient assessments using InterQual or equivalent criteria; reassess as conditions change.
Determine and document appropriate levels of care per clinical and payer guidelines.
Manage utilization review denial prevention and appeals to support reimbursement.
Lead discharge planning to ensure timely and safe patient transitions.
Communicate effectively with patients families physicians and third-party payers.
Advocate for patients rights autonomy and informed decision-making.
Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds to align care goals and optimize outcomes.
Support accurate clinical documentation and coding for reimbursement.
Stay current with payer regulations case management protocols and community resources.
Contribute to quality improvement and departmental initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
Active Massachusetts RN license
Minimum 3 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 5 years)
Recent experience (within 4 years) in discharge planning and utilization review
Proficiency with InterQual or equivalent medical necessity tools
Strong organizational communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Proficient in electronic health records and related systems
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Case Management Certification (CCM ACM or CPUM)
Broad experience in acute and post-acute care settings
