Title: Dental Assistant
Location: Dental Clinic -12750 SE Stark St Building E Portland OR 97233
Schedule: This is an in-person position Tuesday - Friday or Monday - Thursday 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM
Wage Range: $25.00 $31.00 hourly Non-Exempt

Position Overview:
The Dental Assistant assists the dental professionals with the daily operation of the dental clinic in accordance with NARAs health and wellness objectives for patients and families and helps to ensure that the provision of dental health services takes place in a professional non-bias environment and is accomplished efficiently.
What you will do:
Assist Dentist at chair side utilizing basic and expanded function dental assistant techniques.
Assist Dentist by operating dental x-ray equipment taking intraoral and digital radiographs developing and mounting film or storing them in appropriate electronic file.
Complete required sterilization procedures.
Maintain dental equipment operatories and lab sterilization area.
Accurately maintain electronic patient charts and records.
Provide instructions on basic dental care or post-operative care as instructed by Dentist.
Qualifications
We would like to hear from people that have:
- Graduation from an accredited trade or job skills training in a certified Dental Assistant program required.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Expanded Function Dental Assisting (EFDA) and Radiologic Proficiency certification for the State of Oregon required.
- CPR/BLS certificate required.
- Minimum of one year of work experience in a Dental or Medical office required.
- Competency in infection control and assisting in dental procedures.
- Minimum of one year of work experience as a Dental Assistant required.
- Dentrix scheduling experience strongly preferred.
- Sealant certification preferred.
- Must pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
- Must pass criminal background and DMV checks.
- Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community preferred
