DevOps Engineer

The Space Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work build and operate bespoke technically complex mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team for a cloud based big data migration project. This role will focus on the support and delivery of a software implementation configuration of software improvements maintaining deployment environments automating manual processes supporting changes to live systems when needed. We are looking for candidates with a positive problem solving attitude who can adapt to client problems as required.

Utilise a diverse set of tools to support a system working with developers and testers to troubleshoot specific issues including recreating tests validation configuration and where possible automate elements of the software development lifecycle.
Facilitating Quality Assurance of the application set and deployment of the application into traditional Infrastructure as Code e.g. Puppett and Kubernetes environments

Participate in Kanban and/or Scrum meetings to plan prioritise and estimate work.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Understanding and Experience of

Rancher

Knowledge of

Linux
RPM / Yum
Puppett

Developer Experience:

Java
Go Language
