Job Duties
Repairs and monitors air conditioning systems (central and package) heating systems (water and steam) steam systems (high medium low pressure) temperature readings on fans and pumps heating cooling and re-circulation pumps. Also responsible for maintenance of fans (supply return exhaust) and oxygen and nitrous oxide piping.
Maintains chilled water steam condensate roof leader glass acid piping and all other related piping.
Makes rounds in all mechanical rooms logs said rounds monitors equipment repairs plumbing (sinks toilets etc.)
Performs plumbing installation and repair. Snakes out drain lines and sewers.
Troubleshoots electrical and pneumatic controls and checks air compressors.
Makes recommendations to supervisor in regard to safety and equipment operation procedure. Also recommends when the equipment needs to be replaced instead of repaired.
Responds to elevator emergencies.
Performs general repair to building and equipment on assigned zone/floor as requested.
Completes daily time report at end of shift.
Performs snow/ice removal as requested.

Maintains established departmental policies and procedures objectives quality assurance program safety environmental and infection control standards. Assesses gaps in policies and procedures and creates necessary policies and procedures to fulfill these gaps.
Understands and adheres to the Medical Centers Code of Conduct.
Familiar with the Medical Centers Mission Vision and Values Statements.
OTHER JOB DUTIES
Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization.
Position Qualifications
Preferably a minimum of one year experience.
Ability to select and use tools and equipment appropriate to the task required.
Speaks reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
Good interpersonal skills.
Education
Trade school (HVAC or plumbing courses) graduate is preferred.

Salary commensurate with experience within posted range
